trying to figure out how to play TI-99/4A BASIC cassette files (as .wav recordings) through either my laptop or phone line out so i can load programs onto my new babie without a $$$ flash cart or disk drive emulator
got a multimeter to check it out and---hey, there's absolutely no way this is a cassette cable! in fact, i have absolutely no idea what it's supposed to be, or even if it works with the ti-99 specifically (it has a 9-pin D-sub plug that lots of contemporary micros used)
gonna maybe check *sighs* retrocomputing message boards to see if anyone knows what's up with it, and if it's otherwise useless to me i might try to do surgery on it and make it useful for anything at all (either rewiring to make a working cassette cable or cannibalizing the 9-pin port to make an adapter for my atari joystick c:)
i only made myself bleed once in the process of doing cable surgery
