A few weeks ago I was walking to work and found myself next to a coworker. I asked how her weekend went and like. I don't have APD and I think I heard her correctly, but what I heard was

"well Saturday was the 26th so I thought that Sunday would be the death day, the rotting day, but actually it is today!" and she like laughed and walked off

The specific cadence that she used for "the death day, the rotting day" was so, perplexing, so matter of fact and reassuring. like, "rotting day" was such an obvious and helpful clarification on "death day". my fiancee and I have been repeating it at least daily sense. I'm transfixed by the whole thing
