@valbaca got to learn that the Dark Souls 3 skeleton-spider enemy is almost certainly based on a pycnogonid¹,²
@ratbaby's wish that spiders could have little crab pinchers has already been answered (chelicerae can be pinchers)

Arachnophobes do not look this up. I mean it. They're not spiders but you will hate it.
The discord got mad at me last time I posted about pycnogonids.

i decided to enrich my morning with pycnogonid facts and discovered that the order they belong to, pantopoda, literally means "all feet"

just googled them and pycnogonids undefeated in the category of "animals that look most like ginger rhizomes"
