my usual posting time is in the morning so conversely I feel like stateside folks never see my posts as they're always gone by the time people wake up. if anything, it only emboldens me
Hmm, my view on morning posting is that the post is less likely to get lost because of the slow tl, and all the USians see it at once when they wake up shrug
yeah that's more likely! either way I kinda like the atmosphere of a nice low-key tl tbh but that's just me 🙈
contributing to this is the problem where it's really hard to see posts older than a few pages back on the timeline. since cohost won't really save your place in any persistent sense and doesn't have a way of surfacing posts you've missed, anything you skip over is kind of gone for good
yeah, there are so few posts when I wake up, I have to wait till evening and then the server slows down lol. However, it used to be far worse back in July
I basically only post in my evenings and mornings, because it’s a bit of a ghost town in the middle of the day.
It had some advantages before the performance improvements though, as the site was pretty fast during the day. And you could feel when the Americans woke up.
