5-year-old royal python girl here wasn't the biggest snake at the expo, but given that there were roughly 90,000 tiny baby snakes and only a handful of adults, she was certainly in the top 20, perhaps even the top 10 of tube puppies actually available for sale.
I wasn't planning on getting another snake but she slithered into my heart, and into the 40gal terrarium that has been sitting depressingly empty in my living room since February. as we all know, it's inauspicious to name a snake you've just purchased—you don't truly own it until you've fed it—but she is Medusa nevertheless.
