I don't know when you came out - and hostile reactions are not justified in any way - but still sometimes older people need some time to adjust or understand. Maybe your parents will understand if they can see how serious and how important it is to you. And maybe, maybe their love for you is unconditional.

They too have been exposed to transphobic narratives without knowing. I hope they'll support you fully eventually. I'm sorry it's not as easy as it could be ...
