I fucking love that term. It's terrible. I'm adopting it briefly.
I do watch western shows/play western games/watch Hollywood and indie cinema/etc, it just comes up less since it's not On Brand for content, I'm trying to make more of a habit of covering that sort of thing in writing. It comes up in discussion with the lost souls who have to share chat rooms with me, at least! This sounds like a burn. God. That's not the intent.
It is a lot easier for me to down anime and things without other people wanting to watch them, so I can chew through a lot of it much faster. Subtitles mean I can have it on while I work on audio and just glance over here and there, and if I don't speed it up like a sicko it's even comprehensible.
But yeah I still definitely do the 3-4x speed thing for subbed anime where possible and that ratchets it up. I read so much faster than they talk!
