brazilians are fleeing twitter because the government is threatening to ban it outright in the country and I for one think that could be fucking hilarious. don't get me wrong I don't enjoy that people are desperately fleeing and worrying for their sources of income, but it's been years since the acquisition. the fact that most people didn't start making contingency plans and posting elsewhere like the writing on the wall wasn't obvious and full of fascists and nazi imagery? Idk I think twitter losing a huge share of its international market would be a net good for humanity, it might lead it to die off sooner.
