The Axe Headed God, a patron of battle and protection for #UnDCCeased (Which is my homebrew Undead PC rules for Dungeon Crawl Classics, mostly just rewriting the extended rules from DCC Lankhmar into being about cursed undead adventurers.)
I don't know how other people like to make NPCs but I love writing little quotes that encapsulate their general attitude/personality/deal. Also making art of them, during which I think about them a lot, and say the quotes in a funny voice. This one sounds like Tom Hardy (in his role in Star Trek Nemesis) doing a Tom Waits impression.
Anyway, I wanted a 'Battle Influence' focused patron, and I thought having an axe blade for a head would be both sick and goofy as hell (a tonal line I like to ride in my TTRPG stuff) Thus was born The Axe Headed God! Some say he was once a warlord, curse-bound into an axe, who, through seething rage alone, transformed the blood and gore spilled by the blade into a new body. But no one truly knows, or cares, because I haven't found players for my campaign yet, so this is just me spinning my wheels a bit.
