a frustrating problem i've encountered many times in my self-teachings: zhere seems to often be a lack of good intermediate material. it's easy to find stuff zhat covers zhe bare essentials, and zhere's no shortage of dry, dense textbooks full of advanced stuff, but it's hard to find stuff in zhe middle.
