proposed solution to zhe "i cant like posts more zhan once" problem:

make likes somezhing closer to zhe reaction buttons on some livestream services, where it's an instantaneous, repeatable action, instead of a toggle. zhen in your feed you'd have somezhing like:

some cool post i made
  userA liked 1x
  userB liked 3x
  userC liked 1x
  userD liked 420x
  userB liked 1x

so zhen you could like a really good post every time it appears on your feed. and since consecutive likes get stacked, spamming doesn't fill up your notifications. zhere could also be an option to stack all likes from a certain user (discarding ordering information) to keep zhings even neater, and an option to remove zhe counts alltogezher and just list every user zhat liked zhe post at some point, rendering it essentially zhe same as "normal" likes. and as a post-liker it could show a count next to zhe heart button as an indicator of "oh did i like zhis post already?".

but it's not harmful in zhe same way traditional like counts are, since anyone can spam zhe button and so zhe Engagement Numbers are kinda meaningless. a post getting 1000 likes could just be one person who really wanted to make it clear zhey loved zhat post, in an endearingly annoying sort of way. and it's not even annoying if you tweak zhe options so it's not a vector for harrassment! but personally i'd like to be able to see when folks come across a post zhey like again, and i'd like to be able to like somezhing multiple times, bozh for "zhat post from a monzh ago zhat's still a banger" reasons and for "aaaa i love it, likelikelikelikelike" reasons. a system like zhis gives more nuance zhan just "post good" or "post not good" (and i kinda like how more likes actually requires more effort, instead of just giving a post a rating or somezhing)
