i wonder if there's an amount of fame matpat could have beyond which actual game theorists stop calling their work "game theory". can you kill a term of art like that?

i'd love to do that to "open source". the Open Source Definition is, among other things, a scam promoted by big tech to convince people that doing volunteer work for massive corporations is good and wanting to get paid for your work is bad. as applied by the OSI, it gives us wacky bullshit like "evil is a field of endeavor." the USPTO was right that the OSI shouldn't have a monopoly on the legitimate use of the words "open source."

my next weekend side project, when i eventually have a compelling idea for one again, will probably be free and open source software released under the Fuck Bitches Get Money License, because I don't think I ever actually used it for anything, and that's a shame.
