does AMD have an equivalent to Nvidia's Shadowplay? and does it actually fucking work?

I haven't tried it in a hot minute and I don't remember the exact details but at least in VR (Valve Index through SteamVR on a 6800XT) I just could not get Relive to work. Most of the time it'd just record a blank screen iirc.

yeah, should be less in the way of issues on current drivers. there's a little more work to be done there but give it a go and let me know. c:

yes and mostly. there are some issues on the current generation of cards (6000-7000 series) with audio sync but weβre working really hard to nail down root causes and fix that.
