shoutout to jetbrains, who released a chatgpt-esque coding assistant, but made it as a plugin which you can disable in a few clicks, and highlighted that fact in the release notes. i honestly dont mind if a reasonable product integrates an LLM for those who want it, but forcing it on users should be a crime
eh, its a plugin, jetbrains has a lot of stupid plugins, as long as i can disable it im completely fine with it, but understandable
(also, jetbrains had a built-in LLM for like years now, and that is disabled by default too lol)
