ok is there any good reason for random desktop utilities to want gpu acceleration? this strikes me as some stupid bullshit, but like. most of the rust gui libraries (including both of the ones with accessibility support) work that way, and then there's shit like alacritty that makes a big deal about how it's gpu accelerated. and i cant tell whether any of this is justifiable or not
