Me: fills in my GP's online request-an-appointment form.

[30s later]: email! FOLLOW THIS LINK TO LOG IN, YOU HAVE A NEW MESSAGE FROM THE PRACTICE

Me: shit, did I accidentally a keyword that's made them go "haha, fuck off and spend all day on hold with NHS 111 instead because you technically meet some Oh No That Could Potentially Be A Hypothetical Emergency criterion"

Me: ...ah, no, this LOG IN TO READ is so that I can read "yeah, we acknowledge you filled in our web form, we'll get back to you at some point", truly information that could not have been in the email that told me to LOG IN

(I know, it's to avoid leaking the potentially-sensitive medical information that I booked an appointment; but I do have to question, if your situation is such that that's damaging, whether THIS IS YOUR GP SPEAKING, WE HAVE A MESSAGE FOR YOU is probably equivalently bad.)
