Spent WAY too long trying to figure out what the Strongest Attack First was. Was it Lunaeris teasing Kallixenia? Getting her jealous with the random adventurer? Wait neither of those things happened first. Was it her sneaking out of the castle??

Oh wait. Oh. It was the giant fuck off megumin EXPLOSION that left her puking up fireballs and activated her trauma. Right.

I love these characters. Your writing here is so uniformly good that it's hard to pick out a favourite part.

The little interaction in the tavern did have me giggling:

("Jessamine you are pissing off the giant angel and I'm out of mana.")

Perfectly captures the carefree chaotic spirit of an adventuring party. :)

Days later I finally get the wherewithal to read this and I'm so glad I did, what a fantastic segment! I love Lunaeris's huge levels of "fuck me yourself you coward" energy, the genuine pathos of wanting something but feeling like even when your scheme works you can't make the genuine connection you really long for, and Kallixenia being both determinedly extremely sweet and a huge ball of anxiety about the consequences of that sweetness. I'm just imagining that gif of John Boyega sweating a river and cackling. Great work!!!

definitely worth the extra length, a lot of real good payoff. really felt Lunaeris' mental block, mid coitus, felt very real. stress and emotional turmoil will absolutely do that to you. but I mean, damn, I'm just imagining the size of those hands dog 👀
