It is always fascinating to see people say, like, "Ren'Py! You can make games in it with no programming!" because it hints at the outline of an idea of what "programming" is that self-deprecatingly chuckles: of course learning and writing in the domain-specific Ren'Py scripting language, and learning the packaging conventions for bundling in and referencing graphics, and as necessary introducing behind-the-scenes information we keep track of and checking on it to conditionally branch to different outcomes; of course none of that is Programming! we're doing our little stories over here, none of that developer stuff

And clearly, y'know, that imagined shape of Programming is frightening to people, or it wouldn't persist, this "haha it's okay! None of that here!" reassurance

but it sure would be nice, instead, to be able to convince everyone reassured by it, "literally all of that is programming. You were, and you could, all along"
