That’s part of it! A lot of the top fics by kudos have notes at the top about being originally published on other sites. For comparison, over 500 are tagged John/Aeryn. D’Argo’s top pairing is with Chiana. Scorpius/Braca is also well represented.
I was gonna say, I'm sure I remember John/D'Argo fics kicking around on peoples' Geocities or LJs or, hell, Silverlake?
