I'm sure Cohost can shift enough artist alley pre-sales, whatever their metric for "enough" is, purely from the tittering in-joke crowd; but asking people to throw ten bucks at sincere advertising when nobody knows where on the site these things will be or how they'll be presented is, uh

Whatever they end up going with, I don't think it'll end up being a super effective place to run actual ads

They're definitely relying on those exact people to pay initially regardless, then for that to demonstrate the concept to everyone else.

Like, I give cohost more leeway than I would most places, but I find myself having less to give over time when it looks like they take it for granted that everyone will give them that allowance.
