This movie pulls no punches, it's not even necessarily interested if you don't have the life experiences to pick up on what the movie is trying to make you feel, as I've seen from reviews where folks were saying it was too slow or too vague.
It's a queer movie, but not for well-meaning straight people to look at. Even it's depictions of domestic abuse are mostly little hints - if you know, you know. There is no outsider lens here.
It was utterly devastating.
