"Rosalind's Siblings" is going to be an extremely cool anthology that is going to come out in September (pre-orders available now)!
The table of contents has been announced and I am HYPED about how many cool authors are in this!! (Do I deserve to be in this company?!? We'll find out!!)

We gotta start with the fearless leader, Bogi Takács. E has won a Hugo, e has won a Lambda, e is a really great short SFF writer--I have
eir poetry collection Algorithmic Shapeshifting which is extremely *chef's kiss.*

Lisa M. Bradley is a queer Tejana author who has been published a whole bunch of her poetry and short stories, including in both Uncanny and Strange Horizons!
Polenth Blake has been published in places like Nature and Strange Horizons and has a novella called "Werecockroach"?? AMAZING
Stefani Cox is a writer and poet and has had her stories on Levar Burton Reads (!!!) as well as in Strange Horizons (I see a theme here!)

Julie Nováková is a biologist (!!) who has had her short work published in Clarkesworld, Asimov's, and Analog.

D.A. Xiaolin Spires and I actually have been table of contents buddies before! I was
accidentally let into accepted into Clarkesworld and Spires had an amazing story in it about
a heist for the perfect coffee bean, if I remember correctly? I just remember that it was funny and also extremely fun and also brilliant. And it also made me want to drink coffee.

My internet stalking can't find me anything about Lydia Moon, but this is a fun title and I'm looking forward to it!

Leigh Harlen's bio says they're queer and non-binary and has two books and a whole bunch of short fiction published!

Celia Neri is an author with work published in Apex Magazine, Three Crows Magazine, and The Café Irreal!

Ursula Whitcher is a mathematician (!!), a writer and a poet who has been published multiple times in Asimov's as well as other places!

Premee Mohamed is a scientist (!!) as well as a novelist, a short fiction writer, and an Eldritch monster (Her website says so!) and she's won
Nebula, World Fantasy, and Aurora awards for her books! Also, back when I was on Twitter outside of book promotion, she was one of my favorite Twitter follows and has a really funny Twitter presence.

Emma Johnson writes stories, books, and zines, and put out a book called
"Unicorn Wasteland" which is an extremely A+ title.

Santiago Belluco has been published in Kaleidotrope and Compelling Science Fiction!

Julian K. Jarboe has an amazingly-titled short story collection called
Everyone on the Moon is Essential Personnel and they have won Lambda Literary Award and have been a finalist for the Locus Award!

Phoebe Barton is a queer trans writer whose work has appeared in Lightspeed and Analog. One thing I remember from following her on Twitter is her love for giant queer ladies, and honestly, who doesn't?

Jennifer Lee Rossman is a queer, autistic, and disabled science fiction writer who has written long and short fiction, like the novel
Jack Jetstark's Intergalactic FreakShow as well as the free online amazingly named
GAY JAWS. Their work also been listed for the 2022 Utopia Award!

Kanika Agrawal is a queer Indian writer and former scientist-in-training with work published in Best American Experimental Writing 2020, Black Warrior Review, filling Station, FOLDER, Foglifter, Notre Dame Review, and SAND!

Laura Jane Swanson is an extremely nice chill person who takes beautiful nature pictures on Twitter! She also has a degree in biochemistry and is an SFF writer!

Osahon Ize-Iyamu is a Nigerian speculative fiction writer with work in Clarkesworld, The Dark, FIYAH, and Strange Horizons!

Vajra Chandrasekera is the author of
The Saint of Bright Doors and has had over 50 stories published including in places like Analog, Black Static, and Clarkesworld!

One of Cameron Van Sant's most impressive achievements is having the shortest titled-story in this anthology. 😎

So my story in this anthology is about a trans astronaut who goes to Venus, and Tessa Fisher ALSO wrote a story about a trans astronaut going to Venus! Except the difference is 1. her story is about a woman and mine's about a man and 2. Tessa Fisher is an actual scientist who works for NASA (!!) and now she's a PhD. And my story is written by me, just a guy, and my story kind of shit-talks NASA. 😅 I really enjoy that we're put back-to-back in the table of contents, I feel like my story is going to be the "opening act" for hers. Tessa's work has been published in Analog and Fireside!
Hal Y. Zhang formerly worked in physics (!!) and is an author and poet and has an extremely cool-sounding book called Hard Mother, Spider Mother, Soft Mother and has had short fiction and poetry published in Uncanny, Fireside, Fantasy, and Strange Horizons.
Isha Karki has won a bunch of awards for her short fiction, including Dinesh Allirajah Prize, Galley Beggar Press Short Story Prize and Mslexia Short Story Competition, and her work has appeared in khōréō, Lightspeed, and Nightmare Magazine!
And that's everybody! Am I intimidated by the numbers of scientists and science-y people in this anthology, as well as the number of people who have extremely impressive lists of publishing credits? No... 😌 Anyway, this looks amazing, everyone should check these authors out and go pre-order Rosalind's Siblings!
