Here's my VN I'm working on ...It's about a boy getting trapped in a music-themed dream world; it's got horror vibes but isn't scary. (It's 60% done, but like, at the perfect point for theory-crafting for readers imo...if that's anything)

I'm mostly posting this 'cuz I'd like to find more VN writers on here myself XD;; If anyone else happens to be looking here and wants to be friends!

Hehe thank you, and same (to the horror sentiment). I'm going to be checking out 77 Oleander as soon as I can find a store that still bothers stocking Steam giftcards lol; it looks right up my alley!!

I am here! Even if I have very little to show for myself lately!

I spent seven years falling down the AAA render programming specialization rabbit hole, currently trying to turn back that disaster and recognize that I need to be doing creative work to live. Right now that just means brushing up on lost skills, but I have a visual novel brewing in me. Somewhere down the line.

Our big project is named DRAGONFRUIT: a mother's love!

It looks like a strategy RPG, but it really deeply has the heart of a visual novel. It's about a princess and a rogue on the run from the countries they called home and finding a world stronger than borders could contain along the way (and also handholding is a major feature :3). We have put waaaaay too much effort into the VN staging sections for us to just be cast aside! I love VNs so much. Give our demo a shot, if you wanna, and let us know what you think!

I've been cracking away at this Umineko When They Cry fan episode for a couple of years now and just recently finished a complete beta version, with a full release on the horizon.

After that's done, I'll be moving away from fanworks and starting work on an episodic web-embedded space opera VN. I don't really have much in the way of dev or art chops, so I figured an asset-light, text-heavy work like that would suit me well, though I'm still worried the scope may be a little too large.

That's awesome! RenPy has been great for our narrative designer to rapidly prototype dialogues and chapter narrative flows, but I just grew so frustrated with it not behaving exactly like I wanted so I decided to roll my own without any sort of premade assets or anything. It's been a challenging but INCREDIBLY rewarding experience.

Good luck! I can't wait to see what you make!
