i couldnt lengthen my attention span as a child, but i could accelerate my reading speed to fit that span
i also wanted to write a comment about how the fantasy of the nuclear family with a patriarch at the center acts as a foundational hierarchy blueprint (original sin?) that makes other unjustified hierarchies more palatable but i didn’t know where to go with it.
OHHHHHHHHHH INTERESTING. I kept thinking "where's the tie to capitalism/authoritarianism etc.??" Nailed it.
