This book is good. It’s about art and transness and disability and also death and the memory of the dead. Extremely cool, creative, and well-developed “non-western” (???? I think???) fantasy world. Also a very short book!!

You should read the novel The Subtweet by Vivek Shraya.
Here’s why:
I know with Cohost's amazing SEO I should make this post formal and dignified but I'm just quite excited and shocked!!!!! We're Lambda finalists baby!!
Rosalind's Siblings is a science fiction and fantasy anthology about scientists that I was very lucky to be in. And it's very good!! And now it's award-nominated!
Um apparently we're also on the longlist for the British Science Fiction Association Awards. I thought I was googling the book an unhealthy amount but I totally missed that one
Also Locus Magazine, continuing to be amazing, not only published this really nice review of us but also put us on their 2023 longlist of recommended reading. (Which isn't a Locus Award, which is voted by the readers and voting is still open.)
You can buy Rosalind's Siblings here!!
I didn't even make an awards eligibility post last year!! Thanks, whoever did it!
Have you read a cool science fiction or fantasy book or story that “explores or expands your notions of gender” that came out this year? You should nominate it for the Otherwise Award!

The works nominated by the public are at the bottom of the page, so you can check to see if it’s already nominated. 😀
