probably (definitely) more active on other sites! anyways we're on here too. mostly to share art by buddies & pals & friends here.

oh my god we just realized why the hell all the yinglet talk is so fucking. hard for us to try and conceptualize in our brain. it's how the internet circa 2009 treated haruhi all over again. does this make sense or is this simply just an experience only we had

They're furry little guys from the webcomic Out-Of-Placers: https://www.valsalia.com/comic/prologue/01/

They're sapient humanoids, roughly three feet tall. They have pointed snouts, large ears, a tail nearly as long as their torso for balance, and gangly limbs that resemble bird legs. https://www.valsalia.com/art-extras/the-intrepid-traveller/

The comic is about a human caravan guard who gets cursed by a doohickey and gets transformed into a yinglet (and also has his gender swapped). He becomes an interspecies liaison around the city (which is filled with fantastical species) and gets enlisted into the city leader's anthropology projects due to his unique perspective. The comic contains depictions of racism, homophobia, transphobia, and violence, but a significant portion is adorable interspecies pining.
