had a long-overdue meal with some good friends today (and with any luck, more will come soon!). the meal involved meat, meat, the veggies that came with meat, and meat. there's a pun in here about meeting that I didn't think about
among the many things we talked about, the topic of playdate dev was brought up. I've never really done development for systems with hardware restraints (as opposed to restraints like "I don't have the budget to commission resources for this so let's go full reuse mode like I'm a mobage company"), but it's a curious thing to think about. kind of like making PICO-8 stuff.
(this is also making me think how another friend was talking about doing some PS1 homebrew, IIRC. I would love to get in on the low-poly scene sometime but I have like no 3D chops)
I'll go over my list of Games (which I know I've posted here) another day to see if there's anything fitting... I have a lot of small-time stuff, but I do want to get to the big projects also. in the meantime, here's a twitter mutual of mine who has done playdate games!
today's spare thought is "don't you think it's neat that japanese prefecture selectors in web forms order the prefectures from top to bottom"
