today I decided to clean up my paypal shipping addresses, since I was kind of tired of scrolling past 5 duplicates of an old address in Washington with variants of my name (First Last, FirstLast, Last First, "last,first") whenever trying to drop $0.69 on a game on steam
as it turns out though, you cannot edit, much less even see, your shipping addresses (as opposed to your payment addresses) on paypal's website. looking at your shipping addresses on most web checkouts (steam included) only lets you use an existing address or add a new one. the leading suggestions on the internet as of 2023 are "put a $100 neiman marcus item in your cart, then delete your addresses there, because apparently some sites allow address editing" and "go to the paypal robot chat and yell SUPPORT SUPPORT SUPPORT three times fast until a live human deletes your agents for you"
perfectly baffling. I can't even think of a good dark pattern reason for this
by the way I tried to reach an agent and was informed "They will return on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 6:00 AM."
