I hung out with a friend from Norcal today and played a lot of Wangan Midnight. even 280HP races can be white-knuckle with sufficient trance and eurobeat (yuzo koshiro, as much of a wangan midnight trance god as he is, has been trying a whole lot of genres in wangan recently and crushing them)
we went to eat at a miso ramen place that caught their eye ("wait did you notice this because it was across the street from the yokohama iekei ramen you had for lunch", I correctly noted). I had the miso tsukemen and it was spectacularly pasty and strong - not my first preference, but a distinct taste for sure.
when ordering (purchase tickets at the machine before committing to a 20-minute long line), I tried to ask for no beansprouts in mine, noting the towering pile of veggies in the sample photos. I was told by the staff they can't do that. I am going to eat my veggies, whether I like it or not
