The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog is a Sylvie scale SSS Game.

over 2 hours, it absolutely knocks the Sincerity and Surprising out of the park with a pikopiko hammer, and it makes a good swing at Secretive also, while supplementing it with SEGA's Secret Sauce: Self-Indulgence. there gotta be a third S in there somewhere

it's an easy, full-hearted recommendation from me if you have any emotional tie to the sonic franchise in a "grew up raising Chao and imagining Tails/Amy AMVs set to DDRMAX mus-" whoa I think I lost the point there

but I think it's a game that is succinct, self-contained, and sincere enough (in a way that goes beyond Sonic) that honestly? for $0? you could just do it even if you haven't thought about Sonic at all. you'll miss the easy digs at Nights and Twinkle Park and stuff but the character archetypes are broad yet fun and I cannot emphasize how much the ending took the game above and beyond

also the ending CGs like oh my god this game is good but I. I think the conductor's wife is really cute. like the conductor's a very solid design on his own but like. She

(EDIT: I forgot to slip this in the review but this game is practically tied with Undertale on Steam with a 95.5% positive review ratio)
