in a real "that makes sense" moment, I learned this episode that 横になる (lit "become sideways") means "to lie down"
what happened this episode
meiling goes full worried mom over the phone with sakura. akiho visits sakura's house and exudes big "rich girl amazed by the commoners' freedom" energy. sakura shows off all her cardcapting outfits to akiho without thinking. akiho asks sakura to teach her cooking without kaito knowing. even sakura can figure this out. the combination clear cards of snooze and labyrinth attack, putting akiho to sleep. sakura engages rollerblade mode for the first time in years and manages to handle them. sakura invites akiho to visit again sometime, and kaito walks her home. the moon is huge and red and normal.

sakura's dad refers to himself by first name when on the phone with her, instead of being like "it's dad" or something. I'm sure this is normal for some families but for me it was a kind of unexpected moment
I dunk on kero's complete lack of opsec constantly because he is loud and annoying but sakura really is pretty bad at it too and seeing akiho easily work her into a corner with "wait what are all these outfits for? when do you wear them? oh they're from a play? do you have any pics?" is pretty funny
using screenshots of the old anime for sakura's photo diary is a cheap shot but an appropriate one
i post "the moon is huge and red and normal" but definitely we have had some normal huge red moons here on earth also in recent memory. not this huge though. probably. now I'm just thinking about how botw will apparently trigger blood moons whenever the system needs to unheck itself?
