i make indie games

unvoiced 2* in a tokyo apartment trying to weld end-of-service anime characters into playstation 1 party games

I spun up TGM2 (aka TETRIS ジ・ABSOLUTE ザ・GRAND MASTER 2) for the Switch finally and wow I swear this game had a hold function but it still doesn't lol

in TGM3, my best Master runs are "I make it to 500 before timing out", but in TGM2, I am struggling hard above 300. the lack of hold / multipiece preview is part of it, but most of it is forgetting to internalize the "oh fuck it's gravity" image above, which IMO is probably one of the first big hurdles for people like me

the rest of it is trying to floorkick a line piece and being told "no", which is something that also changes in TGM3

I grew up with Gameboy Tetris and only consistently played a version with hold on the switch (puyo puyo Tetris)

And I tell you that to tell you that I've put my sp next to my bed to play a game of B type every night to relax and the lack of hold is killing me. And floor kick. Why can't I get that block in there??
