unvoiced 2* in a tokyo apartment trying to weld end-of-service anime characters into playstation 1 party games

it's so gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood (I typed each o manually)

my head and heart are full of warmth and I'll strike straight to the point: Live A Live is an RPG for people who only have a few hours to play a day and who want to have a really cool week

It's not just one special experience but many. It's my first RPG Maker game. It's my first Hitman game. It's my first space survival horror. it's not my first "ragtag group bands together to save the town" or "90s cartoon for preteens who are totally grown-up, MOM", but it's that too, all held together by the light shape of an RPG stretched into so many different 1-to-4 hour forms

(the 90s cartoon comes with a - fully localized! - super robot song)

Also the RPG is not that hard, which I realize also ties back into my thesis about being for people who don't have a lot of time

It definitely pushed me to the breaking point once or twice - I nearly doubled the HowLongToBeat time for the game (20-30 hours! it's a good number) and that was a mark that wore upon my sanity - but the highs are absolutely stellar and numerous in this game.

Also, it's a 90s RPG through and through, for all the moments where you think "holy shit how much is this game adapting to my choices" and also "if someone had explained to me how to unlock this secret during recess in 5th grade, I would not have believed them"

I bought it on sale for $35! It's probably worth more if you like paying full price for games but it will go on sale again!
