unvoiced 2* in a tokyo apartment trying to weld end-of-service anime characters into playstation 1 party games

there's an extremely highly rated ramen shop (like, on ramendb) relatively close to my apartment, and after noticing past its long line many times, I finally got the opportunity to try it today

I got a basic shoyu ramen, and I'd say that it was not a transcendental experience like I was hoping, but it was highly enjoyable. it was the kind of bowl that just got better the deeper I went into it (though maybe that's also because my cat's tongue struggles with piping-hot soups), and everything felt really smooth to eat, though it kind of made me think "I'm no connoisseur".

mostly, it made me want to visit king seimen in ouji again. I think that one is really distinctive in its lightness and flavor!

I'm trying to find the equivalent touchstone in american culture for like "site where enthusiasts write 1000-character reviews going into every single details of something that 90% of people just consume normally" but that's ramendb, it's got stats and the ratings go out to three decimal points https://ramendb.supleks.jp/s/116843.html

I did contemplate yesterday how I had what is apparently One Of The Best Ramens In Tokyo for less than I assume any restaurant ramen in the states costs tho (1200y = $12 in my head but actually $8.50. my usual Office Worker Ramen Joint is like 750y)
