lots of videogame updates, because it is the weekend after all. I'm expecting to slam back into game development and study soon, but november is going to hit me with at least one Big Christmas Title with terrible framerate that I should know better than to play
today:
- kimetsu no yaiba real escape
- video game updates
played the kimetsu no yaiba x SCRAP escape room today. I learned approximately the second thing about kimetsu no yaiba today, which is that the movie has a hot train man. he looks better in animation then he does on wikia I promise
the escape room itself was difficult for JP language learners but full of SCRAP intricacy as always, I'm surprised that after playing so many of their games that SCRAP still manages to come up with elaborate and pog-inducing puzzle setpieces
videogame updates
I'm making a push to get warrior to 70 in ffxiv because I know that'll be another healthy stat boost. yes I'm in heavensward still. yes I spent like an hour trying to unlock 1000 needles on blue mage instead of progressing msq (kiting the cactus over to the guard does work)
reached a tough battle in the pokemon tcg gb game today mainly because my hitmonchan haymaker deck met another hitmonchan haymaker deck. this is a sign to figure out how to be extremely rude with psychic pokemon
on a variety of vibes
tried a gingerbread latte from starbucks for the first time today. it tasted like five dollars, but the view from the seats on 4F of atre next to akihabara station is quite vibes and full of trains.
finally, I learned sonic frontiers's opening theme is this ridiculous pop-off grand theme with djent guitars, which is peak "remix me orchestrally for the final battle" material. this game's vibes are quite immaculate in going for the "was at an anime con 15 years ago" market, which is IMO slightly different from previous games, which went for people who have sonic OCs. overlapping but not identical
I'm not convinced the game is going to be great, honestly, and I'm hoping it's either real good or real bad, but I'm definitely remembering that I can buy games and simply sell them to book off after
