i went to the fuji area over the last few days, mainly to go to fuji-q highland with people but also to vibe in the area and go around kawaguchiko lake and stuff. a lot of entertaining things happened so I'll post things for the next few days as fun little mini-reports, hopefully
one of the first things I noticed about fuji-q highland while standing in line for my first coaster of the day, eejanaika (lit "Pretty Good"), is that the volume of the PA system is comically unbalanced. if I had to make a transcript of it it'd be something like
(to the BGM of a festival-like tune where people are beating a drum and chanting "eejanaika" at progressively louder volumes like a cultist rite building to a head) eejanaika is a roller coaster with 14 inversion and a max speed of 120 km/h. guests with neck injuries or other pre-existing conditions should refrain from-
(incredibly loud future bass stinger followed by a prerecorded clip of young people shouting FUJI-Q HIGHLAND. a schoolkid next to me under the speaker nearly jumps out of his shoes) ATTENTION GUESTS. THERE IS A MAZDA IN THE PARKING LOT WITH LICENSE PLATE KANAGAWA 123, 00-00 WITH ITS HEADLIGHTS ON. PLEASE RETURN TO YOUR VEHICLE AT THE SOONEST CONVENIENCE. THANK YOU.
