unvoiced 2* in a tokyo apartment trying to weld end-of-service anime characters into playstation 1 party games

laptop battery says 10 minutes (21%) so let's go. this one's gonna be extra light

trying to remember what I wanted to say yesterday but forgetting
did a little bit of light shopping today; hoping to have time to get back onto a regular running schedule again now that it's no longer Hot or Wet, two things that are not conclusive to park running. now I just have Sleepy

today's tokyo museum I am thinking about is whichever one let you walk around a bunch of historical buildings and I don't remember if it's this one

games and stuff
hit 90 for the first time in ffxiv, with smithing, as expected. the other crafters should follow soon. your guess as to where I am in MSQ

I actually think this means I will not have to do GC turn ins soon? Possibly a feature, they're not hard especially with good shopping but it is time consuming

beat the second island in Sonic Frontiers; the second boss was IMO even more "thing you imagined when you were 10" than the first and equally easy to cheese. some tweets from my sonic thread:

sonic tweets
I love Sonic Frontiers's complete non-commitence to being a coherent game. I just discovered the BOTW Blood Moon of the game but it makes a slot machine appear that you power by collecting limited time drops. It pays out in the purple coins that I do not remember the purpose for

no explanation, no lore, just a sudden FMV and info dialog that says "During Starfall, Sonic can play the Slot Machine by collecting meteors and earn Purple Coins" and then it pastes a slot machine on the top half of the screen for 5 minutes. I still don't know if I control it

two issues people brought up in reviews of Sonic Frontiers is that 1) the core collectible loop is kind of grindy 2) fishing trivializes collectibles. I saw this point, acknowledged it, and instantly thought "go fishing if I ever get tired of the game loop"

on island 3 and I'm fishing! I love being able to Tony Hawk around these island but my unsolicited advice is that the game should actually just leave collectibles where they are when you collect them because otherwise your Cool Flip On A Bunch of Rails collectibles dry up hard

one concept that I want to expand upon in a longer post is how games that separate "fucking around" (doing number-go-up activities that are low-commitment and intensity) and "finding out" (advancing a core narrative or completing focused challenges) work well with my head
