today was an office day, let's try to remember what happened
whacka bumps restore 25 MP and FP
recollecting yesterday backwards, I first remember bashing my head into my doorframe really hard while rushing from point A (my room) to point B (not my room). the official consensus on "I hit the top of my head hard, am I going to internally bleed until my head pops" is
- probably no, but don't sleep, just in case you develop symptoms
- probably no, but sleep, so that you rest and feel better
- jesus have you seen the comments where people without insurance go to post their head injuries which are way worse than mine
today I'm feeling reasonably better though I have a nice bump on my head as a prize. my big regret is having an apartment where there are two rooms and the doorframe to mine is like 10 centimeters lower for no apparent reason. it's like japan train door height
ok that's enough pain now how about train
today I also saw a rare takasaki line train bound for fukiage, which is, from what I can tell, what trains do when they are distressed. there's a joy in thinking "wow I've never seen that destination before", searching the station name on twitter, and seeing like five rail fans popping off.
also I got approved for a new japanese credit card! my main bank isn't fully integrated with the Japanese financial ecosystem here (tldr it's probably Citibank's fault), but my main credit card is tied to my main bank, so in order to shift off them, I wanted to acquire both a new bank and credit card, and now I can do so. woohoo
