at work at 6 AM and I found out FFXIV needs different licenses for Mac and PC

session 9
met up with a good friend I haven't seen for many years yesterday; made the bold decision to try doing 1-on-1 hangouts with no set activity in mind (the hardest kind of hangout!) and it was a lot of fun. some part of me feels like "I'm glad I can still sort of do social because I haven't seen anyone and barely DMed anyone in many years"

I am conscious I am always the "talks for 10000 years about myself" person though. If you hang out with me do not read my Twitter, because I will read you my Twitter off the top of my head when finding things to say about

session 12
speaking of my twitter what is up with penny's theme in scarlet/violet, I found this due to Yuta Imai indirectly tweeting about it and I'm 100% convinced no other song in the game or franchise sounds like this but I'm glad it's here

this is like the fourth thing I have learned from osmosis about scarlet/violet, with the third being me cold-guessing a good friend's new favorite pokemon using only their rough stat spread and a gen 9 table as reference. (p.s. that new pokemon, with high attack, sp atk, and speed? holy shit)

in related music, telecaster b-boy got ported to the New Konami Dance Game Thing this week and it made me contemplate a subconscious thing I have about avoiding games / media in the same way that I wouldn't use the good items in my RPG bag unless I have to

for college and a few years after, I refused to engage with Cardcaptor Sakura at all because it was so formative to my middle school years that I was afraid of painting over my old memories. for the last year I've avoided a full playthrough of the Racing Lagoon English patch because "I should be playing new things". Telecaster B-Boy snapped me in half for a week when I discovered it for the first time on 4 hours of sleep and I'm worried it'll do it again

(still working on singing it at karaoke though)
