started putting serious scripting time into messing with gran turismo 4 today. I've already floated ideas for theming a hypothetical gt4 randomizer after dante's inferno or major arcana so that's how you know my creative ideas are good and normal
I described the concept of making a gt4 randomizer to a friend as "something I'll probably be able to do, after understanding the technical limitations, but when I finish it I won't really know why I did it, but that's never stopped me". So yeah
read through the monthly Granblue event about the disciples last night. mechanically, grinding out The Currency from it has never been easier, given that I hit my target while watching half of a video about how Mario 1 stores its level data. and storywise it was pretty solid also! it's nothing super special but it reminds me that I pop off for any story moment where someone is like "I have a duty to this person and I'm going to uphold it whether anyone likes it or not" (a corollary to earlier 2022's "I disagree with you, but my loyalty to you is above all, so give me your orders").
also went down past Tokyo to handle some errands in a shopping mall. I saw a bag store called DRASTIC THE BAGGAGE (very heavy metal of them) and a rare instance of the Kirby kids arcade game with a very cursed mouth
