this day brought to you by "it feels great when the midday nap Hits Just Right (tm)" the midday nap is 30 minutes long after lunch
relatively short post as I'm in full JLPT mode on today the 3rd, and making this post between doing vocab flashcards (wanikani) and grammar flashcards (bunpro). I also found out that I scored all my practice tests wrong so I need to rescore them
made good progress hacking together some randomizer stuff in C# after work, then headed off to akiba to do some electronics browsing. I keep meaning to go to iosys there to get a used iphone xs (I wrote this as "xd" first) but I never show up in time before they close
read "the world's fastest level up" vol1 in one day (train + bath), it's nothing special as far as naroukei featuring a guy who looks like budget kirito, but it's written just a little bit above average. the main guy learns how to clip into things by teleporting and promptly starts planning a speedrun of level grinding, and the supporting cast, although trivially falling for mr normal man, has a reasonable facsimile of motivations of their own. no surprising plot points in the book, though, and my real concern with naroukei is whether the author can keep increasing the stakes without having the protag just trivialize everything by some point. full review sometime, probably after I read volume 2
