same-day update as I am on (marquee and undulating in a sine wave rainbow text) Vacation (close tag) and currently recharging on hotel wifi
rose and shone nice and early this morning and got packed nice and smoothly (it's not too long a trip and I'm not in need of a lot), but cut it really close with the shinkansen, so that was kind of stressful. there's a certain blessing in being able to still make A Train when arriving at the station 10 minutes before departure, compared to any plane
also the shinkansen was very crowded and noisy and my body did not like that at all so I kind of sublimated into a pile of mobile game refreshing. I am very good at subhl in granblue now
at the station, saw an business-english-school ad that was just a big tangle of tech buzzwords and immediately thought "the first 3 you see determines your 2023" but didn't have a chance to post it.
hoping to get out of the hotel later tonight to check out some local shops and unique places, including a nice little pinball joint. fingers crossed, though I definitely need to stock up on sleep before new years.
