i make indie games

unvoiced 2* in a tokyo apartment trying to weld end-of-service anime characters into playstation 1 party games

... you'd think I'd make normal mistakes like "writing 2022 instead of 2023" but nope i'm out here in december 2023

got back from osaka right around lunchtime and activated my super power, which is to unpack the luggage, start the laundry, sort and put away all the souvenirs, pick up the mail and recycle the cardboard boxes, and start cooking food right after getting back from a vacation. if I don't do this ASAP i will not do it until like 2025

finally put a serious chunk of time into Choro Q Wonderful and I can confirm that this game is Food. it was the first game in the series developed by E-GAME (with the next being the famous** Road Trip Adventure) and it shows from top to bottom, with this being the first game to have a plot and talking cars and in the first five seconds of the game you pull into your house and run over a trophy and make a big anime sweatdrop and it's great

** ten dollar walmart carpg that every choro q person is thinking of when they say you should play choro q (unless they are thinking of a different game which is just called choro q)

I am, per GameFAQs after I got stuck, about halfway through the game (and apparently I wasn't actually stuck I just suck at racing), and I am, also per GameFAQs, mildly spoiled on something that's going to happen in this game and boy I'm excited to find out how they do this. Stay tuned

by the way I kind of wonder if the English patch for this game had to try to work all the strings into the same amount of bytes as the original Japanese text because the wording sure sounds like it (another reason I'm playing in Japanese). this is a relatable mood
