one of those days where you are across the street from one of your favorite lunch spots at 12:30 and are like "wow! it's empty today" and right as you are crossing the street, seven tourists come out of nowhere and become the entire line
other than that, my work-life balance has been pretty solidly work recently but not in a way that I'd call "bad", just in a way I'd call not particularly wordy to write about
I was out by Tokyo Skytree today (spending 30 seconds in a retro arcade I really like but that turned out to have a smokiness level way beyond my tolerance) and the train line I took home had severe delays due to malfunctioning maintenance equipment (which is a new one for me!). like... 50 minutes to do a 20 minute ride bad.
I had stuff to do on the train so it didn't affect me at all but it was an interestingly slow and empty ride (which is to say anyone in remotely a hurry was changing train lines). I think it's really cool when the train stops and it is just perfectly silent. no motors, no people talking, nothing.
