When I attach an image through markdown using , no matter how small the image is, a line break appears before and after the image, so I can't for example use custom emojis, since the images would never appear in-line with the text. How do I "fix" that?

You may need to use the img tag but you'll certainly need the css property on the style of the tag or it's container: display: inline
do this:
<img style="display: inline" src="https://images.neopets.com/neoboards/smilies/complain.gif">
I don't believe it can be done the markdown way, it'll have to be html
I tried to do something similar but I don't think cohost supports flexbox native :/ also how did you get an image in your response????
Damn. There are so many crazy things people post under "CSS Crimes", it's hard to believe that there's no way to place a pic on the same line as the text 😩
For the pic, I just uploaded it in a drafted post, grabbed the URL from the image and wrote  without the `` on the comment
