It's surprising that reddit has managed to survive as long as it has without turning into a nightmare hellscape of unreadability and invasive ads in the same way that Fandom/Wikia sites have.
That being said, I would sooner forego all social contact and live life as a hermet at Walden Pond than join a discord server for my hobbies and interests.
i like wirecutter. i don't pay for it i just open a new private window whenever it says "uh oh ur out of articles, fucko!" but they've not yet lead me astray in a product recommendation. i only wish they had more articles on more product categories.
