train videos are everything to me. also ferry videos. i see people riding on large vehicles across japan and i get so excited

it doesn't have to be japan but from what i've found it's primarily japanese travel bloggers that utilize subtitles instead of their voices... the excitement of an overnight journey is kind of negated by someone talking to themselves about it the entire time. talking to oneself is my job, dammit.

anyway, all of this is to say if anyone has any suggestions for train/bus/ferry travel youtubers that use subtitles PLEASE send them my way. anywhere in the world is great, i'm not picky!

in reply to @cass's post:

alas i do not have any channel recs. i do have a video game that may vaguely line up with this: Densha de Go! FINAL, the one entry in a series of JP-only arcade train driving sims that are somewhere between "pleasant tour of Japan's railways" and "high-precision train speed control simulator" i can think of that's straight up available for PC, and also probably the most lenient of its bunch? you drive a train on japan's railways and your job is to get to your destination on time, and as aligned with the station as possible, with the controls of "adjust acceleration", "adjust brakes" and "honk your horn". it's all in Japanese but if you watch a translated tutorial on the youtubes or something it's easy enough to play w/o knowing how to read. also it's tough, but like... it strikes this perfect balance between admiring the chunky ps2 rendering of mid-oughts Japan and carefully managing your speed that it works i think

you did not!!! this is very interesting, although not quite what i'm interested in when it comes to train content... although i'll definitely check it out whenever i eventually get a desk. thanks for introducing me :3
