the answer is that sometimes rockets explode
(and also it would be prohibitively expensive)

i'm so glad i'm not the only person who looked at this thumbnail and went "does this video really fucking need to exist"
i think it's literally more educational for people to just think about the question for a few seconds and realize that the answer is quite simple
(i haven't watched the video but there's also a third less obvious problem: i would imagine that the enormous quantities of carbon dioxide and other pollutants emitted in the process of manufacturing rocket fuel and building up all of the infrastructure, including infrastructure which has to be basically disposable, one time use, really starts to negate the environmental benefits of nuclear power. what's the point of using nuclear power to not emit carbon, if you're just going to emit huge quantities of carbon anyways later disposing of the waste)
(also a friend of mine has said that actually a lot of nuclear "waste" could actually have some extremely useful applications, so it's not necessarily waste at all, if we only had different priorities)
that's an interesting point! perhaps the minute should have been a minute or two as to explain this third reason. either way eleven minutes is frankly quite ridiculous
aside from everything else i really enjoy the rocket in this thumbnail. capsule, nuclear waste bin, engine. this is a ksp rocket down to the fact that it's presumably throwing the nuclear waste out the back for propulsion
conveniently i belive 10 minutes is the point at which you can start putting ads on your video. kurzgesagt in general has some problems in many of their videos though.
