hello! i am kavita. i'm also called kavi or kv! i am a writer and tabletop RPG designer. my name is pronounced कविता.
my projects include:
- Songs for the Dusk, a post-apocalyptic science-fantasy game about building a better future.
- a tabletop game called Sunblack, about queer superpsychics in a city that sits on the overlap between two worlds. you can read more about this by browsing the sunblack tag on this page
i enjoy talking about tabletop RPGs and tabletop RPG design! please feel free to send me asks about the topic or engage with my posts on it whenever.
another thing i did was inaugurate the tag #worldwide music wednesday, in which people can post music that is either:
- not in english
- by an artist who does not reside in a primarily english-speaking country (the USA, canada, the UK, or australia) and in which you are encouraged to share music that doesn't already receive promotion in the west (kpop, for example, technically meets both these rules but gets so much play out here that it doesn't need wmw's hype)
i also made a discord bot called Sparks for indie tabletop RPGs and a cohost bot @pegasus-poetry that crossposts the Poetry Foundation's Poem of the Day to cohost. i'm proud to be their mother but in spite of this please do not consider me to be a programmer.
the joke in my headline/description is a riff on this tumblr post, which has been screencapped below:
