listen. i'm normally all for detonating explosives. i think blowing shit up is awesome. one time i held a quad shot roman candle gun my friend built and fired it over the ocean. i think being a public nuisance is awesome. BUT. if you are going to do all this. you need to make sure of two things:

• a. you're only bothering rich people
• b. you're not being a nuisance in celebration of imperialism

*somehow* folks manage to fuck up both of these the majority of the fuckin' time! when my friends and i went to set off some fireworks you know what we did? we went to the rich private beach in town and we set those fuckers off there! some guy came up and told us that we didn't fuckin' belong there, in the tone of voice only a dude with multiple three story houses can muster. it was great! and yet most people detonating explosives here decide to do it in the middle of the goddamn city, and they do it to honor the foundation of the greatest plague on human society since the fucking bubonic one! it's absurd. such a waste of shenanigans.
